Retouching: Power Rangers.

Sometimes the character costumes get worn and dirty, these need to be tidied up before being released as assets. Poor Lord Zed needed a lot of work. As well as a general polish and repair (metallic sponge tends to bend and crack quite quickly), other tasks included:

• Straightening his staff    • Straightening his neck and reducing the size of his head    •Making his legs and hips thinner

Other characters also needed a bit of TLC, inc. ironing out costume creases/joins and making the actors look less, err... human.

All the actors are photographed in a studio in front of a white(ish) screen, the characters need to be cut out so they can be placed on light or dark colours.

This is particularly tricky with
characters who have hair.
